Student Voice

What do

you

think?

At Hampton Academy, we believe in giving our students a voice. They are part of shaping the learning environment they work in.

This is demonstrated with our student councils made up of students and the student representation on our academy council. More details about the Academy Council are available here.

In addition to the councils, students, along with parents, carers and staff, are invited once a year to take part in the Learning School Trust survey. This is a chance for every student to give their opinion about learning at Hampton Academy.

Further to the annual survey, we also canvas students' opinions at other points in the year as we make decisions about teaching and learning at Hampton Academy.

College Workshop Trial: Student Survey

On Thursday 19th January, students in Years 7-10 participated in College Workshops.

This meant that every student had the opportunity to choose the subject they worked on and the piece of work they completed. Teachers from their college, Kipling, Wordsworth or Conrad, led the workshops and supported students' learning during the sessions.

Students were invited to take a survey, feeding back on their experience and the results are available herePDF (pdf, 370 kB).

New Academy Building Furniture Survey Results

The latest area of school life helped with was choosing furniture for the new building. The furniture we choose will be in the new Conrad and Wordsworth College Buildings from September and then in Kipling College the following year. Your feedback has now been passed on to the buildings team.

The trial furniture is still available to see in E4 in the English corridor. It is available to view every lunchtime and we ask that you visit the room and experiment with the furniture before completing the survey.
