Year 8, 9 and 10 trip to Paris

Friday 1st July 2011 had an early start to the day having to be at school by half past six in the morning! After we were all ready and set off to go we waved goodbye to our parents and by seven O´clock we were on the road to Paris! We were all half asleep, but the journey went by quickly with various stops along the way.

There was a buzz of excitement through the coach when we found ourselves driving through the streets of Paris! And many were laughing at the bad music choices by our lovely coach driver Richard. When we got to the hotel we were all absolutely shattered to pieces!

The hotel  was very nice and modern, there were winding stair cases and plasma TV´s, even lockers with every kind of phone charger available! The rooms were nice and spacious with plenty of room to put all your belongings.

Once we were settled in we met back downstairs and set off round the streets of France. We came upon a huge building. Then we found out we were going up it! At the top of the tour Montparnasse the view was breath taking!

On Saturday morning we  went to the art gallery called Musée d´Orsay. We had a short wander around the big building and admired the beautiful pieces of art. We had many opportunities for shopping and collecting souvenirs. We also went to the Notre Dame Cathedral and visited the Arc de Triomphe in the same day but again didn´t get a chance to go to the top. But it was just as amazing as looking up at it.

Sunday was an amazing day too as we went on a boat trip and then to the Eiffel tower and DID go to the top which was an unforgettable memory! And then our very kind coach driver Richard again was very kind enough to take us to sit on the grass looking up at the Eiffel Tower while the sun was setting. It was an amazing day out!

Monday was the journey back to England. This trip was one to remember, definitely!

Look out for Hampton Academy TV´s Can-can around Paris!
