Year 11 Prepare for the Next Step in English

Last week, GCSE English Language and English Literature students met their English teachers in the Main Hall for a special assembly.

As the early entry GCSE English results have now been published, Year 11 need to plan their next step in English as students prepare for re-entry in GCSE English Language in May and exams in GCSE English Literature and Functional Skill English for large groups of our students.

Students were shown a celebratory presentation that reiterated the impressive results they have already achieved. The highlights of which are:

70% of students were on or above their target grade
59% A*-C Grades
100% A*- F Grades
This cohort have already bettered their A*-C target for the year and achieved higher than last year's Year 11

The news groups will help students enjoy a more personalised approach as they prepare for the final round of exams.
Congratulations to Year 11 and good luck as you prepare for your final GCSE Exams in GCSE English Language, Literature and Functional Skills English that take place in May and June.
