Top children's author visits Hampton Robert Muchamore, author of the 'Cherub' Series
On Wednesday Hampton School hosted a rare visit by the popular children's author, Robert Muchamore. Over 80 of our students were lucky enough to go along and hear an entertaining talk by Mr Muchamore, whose books in the 'Cherub' series are amongst the most borrowed in Hampton Academy Library.
 Students also had the opportunity to meet Mr Muchamore when they had their books signed.600 children from schools including Hampton Academy, The Lady Eleanor Holles School, Buckingham Primary School and Crane Park Primary School joined students from the hosts, Hampton School, to listen to the entertaining talk from the popular author. Robert Muchamore spoke of how he first decided to be a writer to impress a girlfriend and how, after listening to the complaints of his 12 year old nephew that "there was nothing good to read", he struck upon the concept for the Cherub series.
