During these last two terms of being academy council, Tom and I have been attending meetings, building presentations, visiting the building site and feeding back all the information which we receive and then obtaining views on the topic. We also ask for ideas contributions which will be helpful in the next meeting or something that will better our school. For example, on Thursday period six and couple of weeks back, all of the base group representatives attended a colour presentation about our future school building. Some topics which were covered in the presentation were about what colour motivate students or which colour furniture do you prefer? Does the lower and upper college have a different view? We then had to report back to our base groups. By this, we got to present the same presentation, give our ideas, the answers which other representative thought and we got to ask their ideas and feedback. This gave us a chance to see how other students wanted their school to be and what will be best for them. Being an Academy Councillor so far has been a fantastic experience and I hope it continues!
