Russell Group of Universities guidance on subject choices
This month the Russell Group of universities, which is an organisation representing the leading twenty universities in England and Wales, published their guidance on how subject choices at 14 and 16 affect future university admissions. Of particular interest to our Year 9 students is page 17, which highlights the importance of good grades in English, Mathematics, Science and a Modern Foreign Language. For students choosing their subjects at AS-Level, page 47 stresses that to keep most options open, facilitating subjects must be chosen for post-16 study. These are: |
