Masks and Mistakes: GCSE Drama Performance

Year 11 GCSE Drama students took part in Unit 1 of their Drama GCSE in a practical exam entitled 'Masks and Mistakes'.

The exam was an intensive day of practical exercises where students spent an entire day focusing on the practical skills they have developed since starting the Drama GCSE course in Year 10.

Stylized Drama

Students' work ranged from creating 'Reality TV' show scenes; Naturalistic drama inspired by Rod Stewart's 1970's song 'Killing of Georgie' and exploring stylized drama that deconstructed the themes and issues of 'Appearance and Reality'.

30% of final grade

Students were focused and applied themselves thoroughly to the exam, that when combined with written work, accounts for 30% of their final grade.
