Hampton Partnership Orchestra

A review - written by Charlie Booker

When we arrived at Lady Eleanor Holles, we met Mr. and Mrs. Ash, the music teachers and we were asked to take two sheets, a Chicago Medley and chorus book. We were overwhelmed by the amount of words we would have to learn, but Mrs. Ash reassured us and we began to crack on with the singing.

We were split up into our vocal ranges; I am a 'Boy Soprano', so I had to sing the amazingly high parts. My favourite by far was the 'Carmina Burana' which was in Latin. Most of us recognised it as the theme of 'X Factor' or the music that 'Spellbound' performed to whilst Catherine  Jenkins sang.

The performance was brilliant and the soloists, orchestra and choir were all amazing! Well done to everyone and a massive thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Ash, who amazingly got us to sing a Chicago Medley Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves, Carmina Burana and Glee! All in all it was an amazing day!
