The Hampton Academy Rock Club is now well under way. Every Saturday morning between 9.30-12pm students have the exciting opportunity to develop Instrumental, Vocal and Group performance skills. This is under the expert guidance of experienced band musicians Mr Jonny Logue (The Academy´s music leader), Gary McNeillie (Guitar tutor Richmond Music Trust) and Reece Honeyball (Music Mentor).Students learn to play Rock and Pop tunes in groups with a view to performing live to an audience. This helps build skills and performance confidence. The Club have already performed 3 times, one of these being in a local venue in Hampton. The club is open to all students from Hampton Academy who have an interest in playing guitar, bass, keyboard, drums and singing. So if you see yourself playing in a rock band then this is an excellent start. Speak to Mr. Logue for details about joining.
