Hampton Academy Orchestra

Hampton Academy Orchestra was established in the autumn term of 2010. We have always had a variety of music groups and ensemble but it is particularly exciting to now have our very own orchestra which caters for the classical element of the school´s wealth of talent.

The Orchestra rehearsed regularly to prepare pieces for their first public performance at our Christmas Celebration Concert, where they performed ‘Joy to the World´ and ‘Away in a Manger´.

The Orchestra comprises flutes, clarinets, saxophone, violin, viola, cello, double bass, guitar, piano and a percussion section, and includes students from every year group. The leader and conductor is Hampton Academy´s Programme Leader for Music Mr. Logue, with Ms. Akdeniz arranging piano parts and Alan Mitchell arranging the percussion.

The Orchestra is planning to perform again in the summer term - watch out for details on this website!
