My name is Jenna King and I am a Year 10 student at Hampton Academy. My favourite subject at school is Dance and I joined the GCSE Dance course six months ago. I really enjoy Dance. I have put all of my effort into dance and after a few months of being on the course something exciting happened. I won the Jack Petchey Award for all of my hard work and dedication to Dance. It was lovely to know that the hard work really does pay off in the end.For the award I won £200 and I am spending that money on paying for tickets for the year 10 GCSE Dance group to watch ‘Chicago´ in central London.
This will be an amazing trip and it will be lots of fun. We will all learn a lot from seeing a professional dance and musical performance and it will help us all become more professional in our own dance performances for our course. I am very pleased and privileged that I won the award and I am going to continue to try my best in Dance and do more Dance activities outside of school also.
